Astrology

I once had a dream wherein I was something like a cartographer, although more a map reader than a map maker. I was in my work room, a rather haphazardly cluttered space, like that of a person who is serious about their work, but not so diligent about housekeeping. Stacked and standing everywhere were rolled charts, ie maps. Most of the charts were very large, some of the rolls had to be stored in tubes that were nearly as tall as me. I had a monstrously large worktable where several of the charts were laid out to study. I had a few gauges and gadgets laying about too, as well as a clear sheet over the space where I was bent over the charts, focusing. I marked on the clear overlay with a white wax marker and also took notes on a separate pad.

What I read from the charts was the movement and configuration of celestial bodies. The charts were all maps of Space. On a quick scan, they would all look like midnight blue expanses with dots of white and small white letters identifying each celestial entity, as well as giving some detail concerning its relative location, motion, etc. So, in some ways it was actually stellar cartography. But, I was not tracking stars, per se. I tracked planetary motion for all the bodies in our solar system and the configuration of their related angles. I was, in fact, designing astrological charts.

This activity was the reverse of what we do today, here, with Astrology. Once we're incarnated, those of us with an interest in Astrology get a copy of our Natal Chart to use as a starting point for gleaning information about ourselves. It's like a snapshot of the heavens at our time of birth, as seen from our place of birth. In effect, this pinpoints us as an individual, locating us in three-dimensional space as well as a relative fourth-dimensional time factor. No matter how repetitive the motion of celestial bodies may be, the configuration of every second, from any location, is unique. Thus a Natal Chart is a snapshot of that uniqueness and in effect identifies us to the Universe by way of triangulating when and where we were born AND recording the blend of celestial energies at play.

So, in the dream, I planned these configurations. I took an individual's list of intended attributes for their next incarnation and plotted the appropriate time and place of birth to set up those tendencies and potentials. I presume that someone else would manage the coordination of relatives, ie, the family to which they would be born and so forth. All factors would have to be considered, but my job was to give them the optimal windows of 'arrival' in terms of timing and geographical location on Earth.

As a side note, I sense that I could have used a more automatic method for charting these windows, something like a computer. However, I loved what I was doing and I enjoyed seeing intuitive opportunities to really create an energy focal point for an individual, rather than mechanically cranking one out of a calculating system.

One other interesting feature of the dream is that during my concentration over the charts, a coworker dropped by to give me the news that a new planet had been discovered (or newly created) in this solar system. He told me that the human scientists who discovered it were going to call it "Guenon." I thought at first, from my coworker's pronunciation, that the name was "Guinon", as in the Star Trek Nexus character (played by Whoopie Goldberg). I couldn't believe they'd do such a thing. It seemed rather silly.

This in fact made me lucid in the dream because my conscious mind connected to the time paradox. How did the astro-cartographer Me know about Whoopie's Star Trek character? Was my charting activity in my own soul's future, since I had a recollection from this lifetime? Or perhaps it is something I do in a parallel dimension?

Before I could get totally sidetracked and even awakened by this puzzle, I received clarification and correction to the proposed name of the new planet. The dream actually paused completely and I saw, superimposed over the 'dream screen', the name "GUENON" in clear block lettering. I didn't recall seeing or hearing the name before. I guess it was important that I got it right?

Anyway, after waking up, I looked for that word/name and have since presumed that the new planet was (would be) named for Rene Guenon, a historical figure in spiritual philosophy. Either I've now dreamed of the discovery of another planet in our solar system or this was a very creative way for my own higher self to nudge me into reading some of what Guenon had to say. It was a very interesting dream regardless.

Like many new age articles attest, I do believe that we choose the parameters for each of our incarnations and I have no trouble at all believing that our time and place of birth may be designed through Astrological considerations. I would very much enjoy that kind of work, I think. It would be very interesting to me and helpful to others. It just doesn't get any better than that.
