Griffen's Arcanum
No topic is covered thoroughly here. These are my notes which serve my purposes and curiosity. I make no promises. I welcome discussion. I will not entertain arguments. I'm not saying I'm right, but neither am I wrong. The same goes for you.

Divination

Divination can be a broad topic. Do you want to know future events? Or merely to be able to read what is true now, but somehow hidden? Are you just trying to see some of the background whys and wherefores? Do you have a single burning question which continues to puzzle you, although you feel that somewhere there is an answer?

There are many tools for divination: astrology, runes, scrying, meditation, etc. You may have to experiment to find which is mostly likely to yield what you want to know. In truth, they all have more to do with tendencies and potentials. They may tell how the energies are aligned, or what the 'mood' is at the moment, including your own. But, there is always freewill, and so anything you see via any method is never set in stone. The messages may be delivered but they generally refer to what is likely, not what absolutely will occur.

I do not recommend getting locked onto outcomes. Merely use divination to heighten your awareness of potential. Use it to be ready for seizing opportunities or somewhat prepared for less than fortuitous events. Remain fluid. You are less likely to be blindsided, and more likely to be able to capitalize when a door or window opens. Then, do as you deem fit, and let it unfold.

Bear in mind too that any divination method is keyed to the reader and the readee and the time of the reading. These are methods for peeking into the operation of all things, which is constantly in flux. Be aware of how large a role interpretation plays in any method, both positively and negatively.

For instance, there have been times when seers have almost collectively been looking into a void, a blackhole of time, in the near future. This is very often read as an End Time! or certain doom, ie the obliteration of all. Honestly, I find this to be complete nonsense. What a vacant future means to me is that nothing has been decided as yet. There are no overwhelming potentials in any direction which can be seen or foretold. When a collective decision is made on a direction, then the future will be visible again. But, when we are teetering on the knife edge of big choices, the way is obscure and thus invisible, even to the best seers. Let us not be too quick to doomsay our own future, for that alone may influence it and take us where we would not wish to go.

It is vital to be open, to make no solid conclusions, but merely to see what is possible, even probable. The rest is living. If we really could see it all play out before it actually happened, there would be no joy in the moment-by-moment discoveries of life's unfoldment.

Ask prudently. Accept answers loosely. And proceed from your true self, from your soul's desires, then see where it goes.
