Giza Plateau The Giza Plateau has been linked inexorably to Atlantis primarily because of the psychic readings by Edgar Cayce. This debate is more than I care to get into here, but I agree that at least THE Great Pyramid (Khufu/Cheops) may be an Atlantean construction, perhaps the other two in the trio as well. I suspect the Sphinx too, although I believe the head of it was changed from a lion's head to suit a pharoah (another big debate). Also, when I look at pictures of the Sphinx, I wonder 'Where are the wings?' as I recall the monument being a winged lion at one time. I will allow that it's possible my memories are not really about the Giza Sphinx, but another. I have a spirit affiliation with the gryphon, which may be seen as a cousin to the winged lion, so all of that could be mixed up in my 'wings' expectation. It's unclear right now. I do not believe that Egypt was the center of Atlantis. I believe it was one of the primary refuge sites from the destruction, perhaps a suburb beforehand. It's possible that this area was a major outpost of Atlantis in a previous age, thus prompting a return. However, I think that after the last destruction, the Nile delta was mostly a place of new beginnings for this current human era. Other events, and natural expansion, spread the building fetish further into Egypt to the Valley of the Kings. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, they say. As I understand the Atlantean connection to Egypt, the dynasties which built more pyramids for more kings did not have full knowledge. There had been a global catastrophe with a long period of recovery. Those who knew what happened to Atlantis or even what it was, were either gone or extremely cautious with information. It was simply too risky to dive right back into what had caused global devastation. It was more prudent to just let civilizations redevelop with a little guidance. In this region, the people chose to mimic some of the grandure they'd seen. Yet, they did not know that the pyramids were energy plants and/or they were not all aware of the significance of the geometry or geology involved. They had no idea of the mechanisms previously at work. Even the models they were given upon the Giza Plateau were not functional and shared nothing much of the original use. So, the marvels became monuments to dead kings and a way to make a stand in the desert. The same sort of thing occurred in a variation of styles in the Americas and Asia. I do not believe that any of the existing momuments were Atlantean power generating plants. The real plants were demolished and, either by ignorance or caution, no more were built afterward. IF any pyramid or temple was an attempt at constructing a power plant, it's as though the builders knew how to build a nice-looking sports car, but had no idea about building the engine to make it go.
