D'eshkar: Satisfaction Guaranteed
It was a cool Autumn day in D`eshkar when the tall hawk-nosed man stepped into Seftal's shop.
"Shopkeep!" The voice thundered through the building and woke Seftal from his midday nap.
"Yes, your worship!"
"I am Fasam of the Nine Hells. You sold my apprentice a carpet this tenday past. It is unacceptable to me."
"A thousand pardons, noble Fasam, but it is against my policy to give refunds after a five day." He pointed a trembling
finger to a sign on the wall:
SEFTALS FINE CARPETS
SATISFACTION
GUARANTEED
NO REFUNDS AFTER
FIVE DAYS
"I'm sorry, but I cannot make any exceptions."
Fasam nodded. Then with a slow smile he unfurled the rug on the floor, threw the hapless Seftal upon it, and with a
clap of his hands sent rug and shopkeep instantly outside a hundred feet in the air.
There was a loud scream outside, followed by a large thunk as something hit the street pavement.
Fasam left the store, stepping over the unseemly mess just outside the door.
"Now, I am satisfied."
It's a dangerous business, selling flying carpets in the city of D`eshkar.
