Let's just do away with the 'ism' thing altogether. Those three
little letters seem to cause such a heap of trouble. Once concepts
or theories get drawn down from their grandness into an Ism, then
they want to skitter around a lot, crawling on people and then
somehow find a way under the skin, like a parasite.
In early stages, the Ism host starts drooling things that ooze away from the original focus. It seems that the more the message is distorted the more the Ism tries to just burst out of the host. I mean, there's no symbiosis at all. Isms just take and take, until they get all fat and start to regirgitate but by then the original content is seriously soured. Down with Ism(s). 05.18.2001 |
