I don't know what anyone else is doing, but what I am urged to do is
open cans, ie, the sealed minds of people who are sustaining the walls
that impede our collective progress. I try to do it gently, however,
sometimes I may have to use a screwdriver and a hammer to get that
first tap through. I don't like it, but I am so compelled to assist Us
that I overcome my own reluctance and loathing of conflict, when it
feels necessary. I much prefer my inherent quicksilver methods of
bonding with the ore to draw out the precious metals.
Screwdriver: used to target a crucial point in a belief system which is impeding progress Hammer: sometimes harsh message of truth or attempt to force understanding or at least thought; a cold mirror; an instrument likely to impact ego Here's one of the target points which I feel compelled to hit: Christ. (Hold up! Don't set fire to me yet!) The name is used as a life preserver, a shield, a banner, a battering ram and to build horrifically thick walls. "If you do not believe in CHRIST," you are damned, lost, not soul-worthy, etc. I drop the hammer on this, because --- It is not universally true. YOU may be 'lost' if YOU do not believe in Christ because YOU accept that belief system and YOU have chosen to view Spirit and connection to All That Is, in that way. There's not a thing wrong with that, for you. Your rules do not apply to me, and countless others, because we have found different paths that fit us. We are neither damned nor lost, from the perspective of our own systems. All who now have the urge to reach for the Bible and expound upon what God himself says, don't bother. I am not in that circuit. Most of us who are outside that circuit are perfectly content to let you be where you are. Learn to leave us be. (Now you can light the fire if you want or let God do it with lightning?) Bear in mind that this concept also applies to other belief systems. I only have chakras if I believe in them. Otherwise, there's no such thing, from my point of view. Magic/k spells work if I believe that spells work, regardless of how I spell 'magic'. 'Christ Consciousness' is a denominationally biased way of saying collective consciousness. (One is embedded in the beliefs of limited groups, the other is a universal concept.) ------------- Here is THE concept which will allow us all to function in our new spiritual realization. If we're looking for a single spiritual paradigm, this is it. ~ laissez-faire ~ [etymology: French laissez faire, imperative of laisser faire - to let (people) do (as they choose)]: a philosophy or practice characterized by a usually deliberate abstention from direction or interference especially with individual freedom of choice and action ------------- That means, no missionary activity that is for the purpose of promoting one's own belief system in an effort to gain membership. Build it. They will come, or not. Let them choose. It is not a competition. It's an attempt to pioneer pathways which welcome other travelers of like-spirit. Any who do not abide the concept of laissez-faire are impeding progress. Any who want to build a belief system, which might allow for all other belief systems, must fastidiously remove all confining terminology which excludes any other belief system. Ok now you can set fire to me. I don't mind. It goes with the job. If I have helped even one person see a pinhole of light and recognize that your favorite box is not THE box and/or that we need NO BOXES... then I have succeeded. In any case, I merely release my efforts into the pool of consciousness and the collective energies. I have other items to attend on my personal agenda. PS - We need a new word that's easier to spell than laissez-faire! (Beatles theme? "Let it be." Ya?) PPS - Yes, I realize that in some cases I am 'preaching to the choir' but not in such numbers as we might like to think. 05.20.2001 |
