I feel a definite shift in the weight of this lab. We've created a lot of heaviness while learning to Be. It's a byproduct of mistakes while learning, and attempts to control instead of release, I think. But we're changing, moving, on a bubble of surface tension that's about to spill over? Thus the tension will be relieved. It promises to be very different. Perhaps we're about to reap the balance of the karma we've accumulated. Maybe the load of demerits and subsequent suffering is about to be offset with rewards?
Toddlers, while exploring their new world, will often disassemble a flower to investigate it. Eventually, they recognize the beauty of flowers and pick them, then they learn that this kills them too. Ultimately, they discover that the beauty lasts longer if the flowers are left to grow. Yes, the flower still dies, but more slowly and its beauty may return again later, in the cycle of life. We're growing up. We're growing fast. I feel that we're growing stronger and wiser and... we're in for a wild ride. 05.31.2001 |
