Seeking Joy

For me, a major trick of living in joy and light is a matter of seeing even the tiniest of blessings and making some and sharing some and helping others see them, accept them, enjoy them. Although I can't force people to see what I see, I just have to try. I feel compelled to share. We are all swimming in a tide of little blessings, we just don't recognize it enough.

Even the smallest bubbles of pleasure can brighten my day, if I bother to notice them. They can be used to outshine the darkness that might visit me. A bubble is a good analogy really. If you look at a bubble, it's perfect. The pressure inside and out is equalized, balanced. The surface is often swirling with prismatic colors, yet you can still see into it, out of it and through it. Marvelous.

Also, have you noticed what happens when tiny bubbles collect together? They often make a large cluster or merge and create one big bubble. If I collect enough little bubbles, moment by moment, then I can make a big bubble that covers a whole day. It's that simple. Yes, the bubbles are clear and I can still see something other than joy if I want to focus there... But why would I want to do that?

What we seek, we shall find. I seek joy. All the rest makes me appreciate the joy that much more. If all the other went away though, there would still be joy. Whatta deal!
