Minding Reality

We see the sun come up every morning. We're told throughout our lives that the sun will come up every morning. We learn that our recorded history always says that the sun comes up every morning. It does. We believe it.

Does the sun come up because we expect it to? or Does the sun do what the sun does and we can only accept that?

Recall that at one time, we believed that the sun circled the earth. Trying to determine the movement of objects in the sky from this premise didn't turn out well. Then someone thought, What if it is the earth that circles the sun? This was lunacy and heresy.

We saw the sun 'rise up' every single day. We KNEW that it moved. There was no question. We all could watch it cross the sky then dip below our flat-earth horizon. No. The sun must move over the earth. We see it. We believe it.

But if we pretended, for a moment, that the earth was doing the moving, then the changing skies began to make more sense.

Of note, at least to my mind, is the shift in focus which occurred. Instead of assuming that the entire sky, including the sun, was in movement just for us. We came to realize that we were actually a part of the skies and we were in motion too.

We have now agreed that this is so. We have apparently agreed that wars are acceptable. We have agreed that money is important. We have agreed that people cannot spontaneously grow wings. We have agreed that these bodies age and die. We have a massively complex variety of agreements, at least on a conscious level.

Consciously, on this physical plane, we take these agreements very very seriously. It would be nearly impossible to fight a lifetime of reinforcement, as well as the echoed belief of six billion other people. That is, it would be nearly impossible to defy these agreements consciously. This has served well because we really needed a lot of common understanding. Despite our conflicts, we've done a rather fine job of surviving and learning.

Now we're consciously learning about more than just the physical realm and our agreed limitations here. I believe that our higher selves know no such limits. I believe we have agreements at the higher level but they concern only the broader issues for cooperation, ala reciprocal interaction (Do unto). I think we work from there on physical realm tasks, like dissuading the support for war.

For now, most of us are not in constant communication with our higher selves and we don't successfully override our conscious acceptance of the agreements within the physical realm. When we commune more fully and integrate our consciousness and higher self, we have the power then, because we know on that level that we create it all. On that level we know how to manifest our wishes. (But of course, with higher/purer purposes, our wishes change.) I believe that how long creations/changes take and the amount of energy expended are determined by each task.

I believe that in the interim, while we're learning, we use passages in between. Through contemplation, meditation, astral projection, visions, dreaming and so forth, we play with the 'rules', because at that level we know that there aren't any such rules.

Some say it's just imagination. Could be. Imagine if the earth was a sphere spinning on its axis in orbit around the sun.
