From Whence Comes Reality

For a while now I've been consciously trying to decipher some things about Reality and/or Truth. In a sense, I am consciously trying to learn what my spirit/soul/Self already knows but wanting to learn how to apply it to this existence. There's a lot of frustration and even trial and error in this.

I believe and feel that Reality is relevant to the individual, although together we constitute an aggregate reality, a gestalt, a common reality here on this plane in the physical world, to which most of us adhere. We each influence the common reality yet because of the size of it and the relative portion under our individual control, the impact and timeframe of our influence will vary in quantifiable effectiveness. We depend heavily on those pebbles we toss into the pool and hope that others will be rippling it in the same direction as we desire. We are currently tossing in pebbles and hoping for a tidal wave.

For our individual lives, we have a great deal of control. In fact it seems to me that we have full control. We may not consciously see it from these human forms, but I know it's there. My spirit/soul/Self affirms for me that my entire experience is either by my own design or my acceptance. The entire universe holds up a mirror for me so that I may see myself better, view my designs and note where I allow alterations, both desired and not. Perception is the smoke portion of the Smoke & Mirrors here.

I am assured that this is true for every living entity, aware of it or not, human or not.

This is where the contemplation gets thick. It seems to be a popular sport to chase Reality, or some refer to The Truth. I've noted that volumes are written on seeking Reality/Truth... ways to do it, how to avoid pitfalls, acid tests to verify what is and is not Reality/Truth. But very few of those tomes tell what the Reality/Truth IS. They just talk about the path, the chase, the sport or the author's own discoveries of his/her own reality/truth, as if that may be applied to All.

The few which lay the Truth out in specifics, usually define it so narrowly such that it excludes most of creation and/or requires a complete subjugation of self. .... But isn't Self what we're really trying to find in the first place? Reality or the Reality of Self, the Truth into which Self fits, and most particularly how it all works here in this physical world.

So then I wonder... Are we grasping Reality by trying to chase down what it is? Or missing the point entirely because in Truth, we make Reality. We create it. As long as we are chasing it, our chasing is changing it, and that's why we find it so difficult to pin down.

You describe your Reality, your Truth. I describe mine. When they are different, is Reality different? The one thing on which most will agree is that Reality/Truth is fixed, immutable, the core and source, the foundation of All That Is or God's Creation or the Eternal Infinity. After that proclamation is where all the differences appear.

It seems to me that the Reality/Truth must be that we create reality/truth, from our own infinite variety and sovereignty, to make the aggregate and our own. I feel that Reality/Truth is not a set of facts or rules or any description of our structure, hierarchy, our experience or what to do with it.

Reality/Truth is the process and the process is Creation. Everything we are, creates. Everything we do in this physical plane (action or thought), manifests. Everything we devote energy to, ripples the pool.

What I think I'm saying here is that we're chasing our own tails by trying to find Reality/Truth. We're it. We can continue to spin trying to prove it, describe it, or justify it... but we are not changing the way it works and neither shall we truly find it in this way. We're expending energy in circles when we could break free into a full fledged joyful run.

Such is my understanding.
