Credit Where It's Due

Currently researching the following main surnames:
Henderson - Franklin, Pollard - Thatcher, Morrison - Rhodes, Francis - Bradford

These are the surnames of my grandparents and great grandparents and those I hold close in my heart, although certainly at the core are Henderson and Morrison, from my parents whom I love dearly.

I have trimmed some extended branches, in order to keep my files a little smaller and preserve mostly folks within my direct surname lines. However, I wish to thank the following people for their research and helping me to connect over gaps. The URLs, where present, are the latest I have on record, but subject to change without notice, since I do not control those pages, nor the data stored there.

~ Henderson ~ especially to Edgington
Edgington connects at marriage of Henry Henderson to (Mary) Cordelia Edgington. Very helpful connections from Kathleen Hildebrand Sahlin who indicates some of her research on this line was gleaned from Thompson's Historical Collections of Adams County, Ohio although she is working on her own Adams County Book. http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/s/a/h/Kathleen-H-Sahlin/
Also, an interesting early history on George Edgington, et al http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/6664/GEdgingtonFamily.htm

~ Pollard ~
Wonderful help from notes and ahnentafel data from Ethel (Pollard) Grooms, my great aunt (I know, it's 'grand'... see note under Francis/Bradford) as well as Chris Pollard's pages/tree which connects to mine at Jesse Pollard married to Hannah Smith. Both sources follow along my branch through Leonard Patton Pollard, son of Jesse. http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/p/o/l/Christopher-Neal-Pollard/

~ Morrison ~
Pat (Francis) Thompson was very helpful here, as was my uncle, Wilbur C Morrison, and my beloved grandmother, Martha Belle (Francis) Morrison who of course was helpful with her line too. She and her sister, Eva Faye (Francis) Johnson have terrific recall. Pat's website is http://hometown.aol.com/hppyhrts/

~ Francis/Bradford ~
Pat (Francis) Thompson and Linda Whitford were both extremely helpful in having done so much research on these surnames already. Much gratitude and love to distant cousins and to my Great Aunt Eva Faye (Francis) Johnson for her telling of growing up. (Yes, I know it's supposed to be Grand Aunt but I'm used to it this way. Besides, she IS great. So there.) Linda's website is http://www.ssimicro.com/~xlindag/

~ Thatcher ~
Thanks to James Thatcher Shaw for his collection of Ohio Thatchers and the other 'cousins' I have had the pleasure of meeting through forums/email, including Janie Thatcher, Sharon Brewer and Gregory Thatcher. Annie Thatcher Pollard's father, Sherman Thatcher, was a puzzle and these people helped immensely in getting him all sorted out.

Other connecting surnames:

~ Hurd ~
Descendants of Joseph Hurd connected into Pollard line with George Washington Hurd marriage to Harriet June Pollard, daughter of Leonard Patton Pollard and Lavina Rader http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/h/u/r/Kenneth-E-Hurd/

~ Rader ~
WWW.RADER.ORG - Massive collection, tangled and incomplete (as all db's are) but if you have the patience to search and are willing to try all possible spellings, you may find something here for your Rader(s), incl its many variations, and those persons related. I appreciate the tedious work it took to build this site. Would like to see more surnames covered this thoroughly online. Even if what I personally found was info ruling out my Raders, it was still helpful.

~ Ruggles ~
Thanks to Steve Ruggles for info at his site. Ruggles connects to Francis with daughter of Thomas P Ruggles marrying Caleb Francis http://www.sckans.edu/~ruggless/stevegen.htm

Thanks also to Betty Riley for transcribing and posting the 1870 Ohio Census for Green, Manchester and Monroe Twps, Adams Co, OH
