Wenn & Wolf Tales

Ancient Wolf

Ancient Wolf in human form, Lord Wolf, is 6ft 1in tall, 200 lbs, sun-baked tan and youthful though is hair is white. His eyes are a forest emerald green. His normal attire is a long flowing white robe. In his human form, he always carries an oak staff of Magi which is just a bit taller than he is. On his right hand is a wolf head ring, made of platinum with emerald eyes. His hair is pulled back into a ponytail which reaches to the center of his back. When he is home and relaxing, he will sometimes undo the pony tail and allow his hair to flow free. He is quiet and reserved for the most part, a watcher and listener. Neither handsome nor ugly, there is a look of wisdom to his youthful face. Age, has no meaning to him for he can appear as whatever age he likes. When working magic, there is a look of the hunter about him, a creature within his own element, if you will. Whichever form he takes, there is an air of noble carriage about him. His forest emerald eyes hold a timelessness to them that is at times unnerving and yet open. His build is solid and lean as any hunter and he walks with a hunter's smooth grace.

Background

Wolf's birth reaches back into the very mists of time. He has walked the lost streets of Atlantis and tread upon the paths of Olympus. He has seen Kingdoms rise from the ashes and return to dust. For reasons unknown to him, he has been cursed with life far beyond others. He is unsure if he is immortal or not, having never actually put it to the test. He heals quickly from almost all wounds. Body parts regenerate with time (such as hands, feet, arm etc) though he has never lost his head and does hope to keep it that way. He has the ability to assume any animal shape be it normal or mythical (i.e. dragon, unicorn, griffin), but can not assume the shape of other humans, or demi-humans. Which ever shape he takes, the coloring will always be white, (not by his choice mind you). Ancient Wolf, is a large white arctic wolf with forest emerald eyes. Although the alpha arctic wolf would seem his favorite, Lord Wolf takes many forms by virtue of his birthright, among these forms: AncientBear (polar bear, 10ft standing) and AncientEagle (giant white eagle with 15ft wing span). He can alter the shape of each animal, making it larger or smaller than is normal, hence a giant eagle. Shape shifting has always been with him, not something he has learned, though he has learned to use it effortlessly.

Through the ages, he has watched countless friends grow old and die. He has loved on a few occasions and with the exception of one lady (before Wenn), they have grown old and died as well. The one who he did give the Wolf Pendant to did stay youthful. Yet, after a time she grew tired of him and turned her gift and the knowledge he shared to an evil purpose. She did near kill him in her lust for power. In the end, it was he that did kill her by removing the pendant. With the pendant gone, the years caught up to her and as he watched, she turned to dust and blew away on the wind. Since that time, he has not allowed himself to love again (roughly around 500 years) but then he met a certain lady, Wenndolyne... more on that later.

Magic

One advantage of long life, it has given him the time to learn almost all there is to know about magic. The world is surrounded by a mesh of magic, almost like a curtain. From the curtain there are lines of power that crisscross the world. Those with the gift, can see and tap into these lines of magical energy, but they are wild magic and must be tamed to be used. There are places where two or more of these lines will meet, this is called a node. Only Magi's of the highest order can touch and control the vast amount of magical energy there. Working with the nodes, does bleach ones hair white for some reason (hence his white hair). There are very few who have the strength to tap directly into the magical weave that surrounds the world. Lord Wolf does not possess this, but with time he hopes to be able to. His magical knowledge is vast and well documented within his home, WolfKeep.
