other Knights with orders to assemble in front of the hall immediately.

Sir-Lancelot: about eight thousand soldiers.. i hope it will suffice
* Miss_Ice flips her tape
LordWolf: then that will have to do, M'Lord
* LadyJolieve smiles to Lance and gives a little bow.
Miss_Ice: I have listened to two sides
LadyJolieve: It has been done.
* LordWolf hopes as well that will do
* LordWolf hesitates for a moment
Sir-Lancelot: have them gather in formation on the fields before the main
gates, jolieve, and ready them to march
* LadyJolieve notes that the troops are already starting to assemble in the
courtyard.

* Catalina looks about her, and tucks a long strand of hair from her face, as
she is wearing it down

LordWolf: There is one more thing I must tell ye of, M'Lord and M'Lady
* LadyJolieve heads outside and mounts her steed, then rides toward the gates
and gets the troops in line
* Sir-Lancelot looks back at LordWolf..

* LadyJolieve stops before doing that to listen to Wolf.
* TheMorrigan strides out to prod the laggards from the barracks, grinning.
* Miss_Ice changes into a cameflauge outfit

LordWolf: I am sure that the Lady Wenndolyne is held captive at what was once
my very Own Keep...

LordWolf: The Keep sits to the left of the name Capital of the land we are
about to enter.....
* Miss_Ice changes back into her outfit
Sir-Lancelot: and a frontal attack would assure her execution?
* Catalina pulls at her loose green tunic, and smiles to Miss_Ice

LordWolf: I do not think a direct assault by cavalry will be much use against
the Keep for it sits high upon a small mount.

LordWolf: But...there is a way into the Keep from below.
LadyJolieve: Then we will need a small group of Knights... to penetrate?

boots. Her brown hair is pulled up into a neat ponytail. Her blue eyes shimmer
with adventure.. A spark of mystery is lit in her spirit... She glances around
and waits....
LordWolf: an an old and secret way I can but hope the DarkWolf has not found
* LadyMarty mounts her stallion and waits for LordTroy

Sir-Lancelot: perhaps a diversionary tactic by the main army, and a small
group to penetrate the Keep?
* Miss_Ice 's horse hops with excitement
* Catalina goes to her black horse
LordWolf: Aye, my thoughts as well
* Miss_Ice looks at Catalina
LordWolf: thje group entering would have to be small though
LadyJolieve: Lancelot, for the time being, Sir, I will turn over command of
the troops to you.
* LordTroy summons a blue laen staff to his hand and mounts his steed

himself.

* TheMorrigan summons PaleHorse and mounts in the courtyard, waiting in
anticipation.
* LadyJolieve smiles at Lance and takes his blade down from above the
fireplace, then kneels before him, presenting the blade to him properly...

Miss_Ice: No magic....

* Rannis is a large black panther, with luminous green eyes and tattered ears
and a tail with a slightly bent tip. He has what could be considered a smirk on
his face. Around his neck hangs a glowing mana disc.
LordTroy: But once we have his attention, then can we use magic?
* Catalina looks over at Dorn, and pulls a few suger cubes from her bag for
Blackstar

LordWolf: By all means Rannis, I am sure your knowledge will be useful.
* LadyJolieve stands and smiles at Lance then heads outside to rally the troops
and get them motivated, she grabs her mother's blade from it's resting place
before running off, and also checks to make sure her daggers are all there.
Sir-Lancelot: where is the portal, LordWolf, is it stationary or can you open
it anywhere, and at anytime?

go kick some serious villain assicles."
Narrator: 4 The Keep sits next to a river over which the draw bridge lays.
The rive emcompasses the Keep on three sides with a road leading from the Keep
across the bridge and through an open field where the army masses
* Rannis grinz.
Sir-Lancelot: (lol rannis)
Nemesis: well I am ready
* LordTroy sighs and sends the laen staff back to where came from and borrows a
mundane sword
Shadowrune: can i help?
* LordWolf steps to the drawbridge, facing the Keep
LordWolf: There is one last thing I need to tell you
Nemesis: if ye shall take me along
Sir-Lancelot: (have we already gone through the portal? or is that yet to
come?)
* LadyMarty listens to Wolf
LordWolf: There is a Guardian...one I can not best for magic affects it not.

* Snipe steps out of the bush and crouches. He gazes at the group and the Keep
* Shadowrune walks over to the group that is going somewhere
* Sir-Lancelot offers to lead the diversionary attack while the others try to
rescue Wenndolyne..

TheMorrigan: ((we're massed on a field, waiting for the portal to appear))
* Kavin_Hunter reaches behind him and draws his 2 handed sword. There ruby set
in the hilt seems to glow with a light on its own. The blade shimmering with a
hungry brightness. He admires the blade, then lowers it, and moves to stand by
Wolf.
Shadowrune: i can make a good diversion
* Morninglord dons his light armor, shoulder plates and chest guard.. "ready
Brother"
LordWolf: What form the Guardian wil take, I do not know. The spell was set
to keep me from doing what I am about to do.
Sir-Lancelot: you and me, shadow, what do ya say?
Shadowrune: alright
* LordWolf raises his hand and the air shimmers, his staff of Magi appearring
in his grasp
* Shadowrune unwrapps his RuneEdge sword from the black silk
Sir-Lancelot: (shadow, lead the horsed soldiers, i'll lead the infantry)
Nemesis: Lord Wolf! When we attack may we use magic?
Shadowrune: (np)
* LordWolf plants the staff before him, both hand upon it and taps into the
magical node below the Keep
* LadyMarty has a bow and quiver slung over her shoulder and a dagger at her
waist
Sir-Lancelot: (no, nemesis, that will foil all attempts!)

Narrator: 4 The staff begins to glow as the power of the node enters it
Sir-Lancelot: (use conventional weapons... at least at first)
Shadowrune: to the horsed soldiers:alright soldiers

* LordWolf ties the power to the staff and raises one hand on high, beginning
the spell of summoning
Shadowrune: ready weapons!

* Sir-Lancelot feels the air being sucked out as the portal begins to emerge...
* Nemesis draws her sword

Narrator: 4 A ball of light forms in Wolf's hand and slowly increases in
brightness and size
Shadowrune: umm...lance who are we fighting?
Rannis: ((Ahhhhh. thatsa stuff.))
* Snipe flexes his claws suddenly, his claws slidding out and locking in place
with special joints.
Narrator: 4 the ball blazes forth suddenly as it uses the power from the
staff to open a rift in the fabric of time and space
Sir-Lancelot: (the outlying army protecting quietuswolf's castle, i assume..
to draw them away from the questors)
LadyMarty: ((hey Rannis, quests go better with Coke))
Rannis: ((Hehheh))
Shadowrune: thats just the kinda stuff you would like to know before going
into the jaws of death and stuff
Shadowrune: (ok)
Narrator: 4 Twin columns of Water suddenlt leap straight up from the river to
a height of 20 feet
* Shadowrune gives the signal to the soldiers to be ready
* Rannis pads around Morninglord for awhile until he gets bored. He then goes
to pad around lady Marty.
* LordWolf concentrates on the spell...feeding it energy and then sends it
forth

* Rannis playfully swats at LadyMarty's leg.
* Rannis grins.
* LordTroy reaches down and ruffles Rannis' fur
* LadyMarty smiles at Rannis
Narrator: 4 The ball of light. now as bright as the sun floats fro Wolfs up
raised hand towards the columns of water
* Rannis rubs against Troy on his way past.
* Shadowrune looks at his sword and thinks "the first time this sword will shed
blood"
* Sir-Lancelot puts on his shades..
* LadyJolieve looks up in awe
* Snipe blinks and shields his eyes
Shadowrune: ewww light...its so....healthy
* Rannis grinz, looking at the ball of light, flicking his tail, materializing
his panther shades.
* Sir-Lancelot gets the infantry battalions ready to march..
Rannis: Everyone, don't look DIRECTLY at the light.
* Rannis grinz.
Narrator: 4 Once there, it shift, sending tendrils of power out to each
column and connecting to them. Soon the light expands, forming a shimmering
gateway beyound which can be seen a deep basin surrounded by mountains on all
sides
Rannis: Thankyou, drive thru.
* Nemesis covers her eyes
* Shadowrune gets his troops ready

Narrator: 4 the gateway shimmer and wavers for a moment then snaps into place

* Lyrvette is a beautiful girl... she has bright green eyes. There is no
mistaking that she is the daughter of LordWolf. She has blonde hair, and
appears to be a mix of High Elven, and whatever race Wolf is. Her beauty is
beyond compare. She greets her father warmly as he enters the realm.
* Nightshade looks to the gateway

Narrator: 4 the rumble becomes closer...the sound of a heavy tread

wound. He grips the hilt of his sword, lifts the heavy looking blade with one
hand, settling the tip onto the ground.

make-shift bandage. He nods his thanks, and uses it to bind the wound. He
clutches his blade, leaning slightly to the one side. He wrenches the blade out
of the ground.
Kavin_Hunter: Let's get this on the move.. I'm not finished yet.

* Rannis stares at Kavin_Hunter with his luminous green eyes. His tail twitches
slightly, and his eyes begin to glow brightly. His tail twitches, and the tip
glows with a faint yellow light.
* Rannis touches his tail to Kavin_Hunter, and the light travels down his tail,
enveloping Kavin_Hunter in a glowing aura. Kavin_Hunter 's wounds seal up, and
energy lost due to blood loss is recovered. The aura fades, and the glow fades
from Rannis 's eyes and tail.
Nightshade: I should think... that any who can assist would be welcome
* Sir-Lancelot leaps back on his horse Vindicator, and awaits word to enter the
portal..
Nightshade: dogs included
* Kavin_Hunter grunts as the wound seals up. He nods his thanks to the cat, and
turns his attention on the proceedings.
Miss_Ice: yes!
Sir-Lancelot: (the soldiers are reorganized and ready)
* TheMorrigan sits resting...looking a bit crispy, but otherwise ok.
* Catalina frowns, and reaches into her bag again, then pulls out some herbs
