* LordWolf replies just as softly..

<SirPoet> Aye
<Simon> I TRUSTED YOU!
* SirPoet looks up finally, his own eyes filling with tears
* SirPoet feels his words and flinches as if from a physical attack
* Simon 's eyes roll to the back of his head as a whirling mist appears from his chest, scttering around the room then coming together...circling him.
<SirPoet> Aye, and I, I did betray that trust
<SirPoet> Yet if I had not, I would have betrayed the trust of thy Father as well
* Simon watches as the whirking light knocks over plants and chairs.

<Simon> He's...he's dead.
* LordWolf spies the light
* LordWolf takes a pinch of iron dust from his robe and chants under his breath for a moment and then tosses the dust at LordWolf. With a loud roll of thunder, a dazzling lightning bolt issues from his hand and streeks toward LordWolf
* Simon just knew that he was dead.
* Wenndolyne runs to Poet... for has no power to help Simon
* LordWolf directs the lighting toward the light, as it answers his call
* Simon stands, puts his hands in the air..."No...don't hurt it!"
* Wenndolyne kneels to Poet and scoots beneath him to cradle his head in her lap
<LordWolf> **the lightning strikes the light with a termendous force, blowing out all the lights within the hall
<LordWolf> **
<Wenndolyne> Wolf! Simon!
* SirPoet 's eyes crack open barely at Wenn's touch, blood seeps from his lips and out his ears, slugishly
* LordWolf is nocked back by the exsplotion
* Wenndolyne looks about in the virtual darkness, only vague moonlight thru the stained glass windows filters into the room
<Simon> ((The whirl of light's still there...))
* Wenndolyne looks down to Poet's head in her lap... but has not enough light to see him clearly
<Wenndolyne> ((got all the light he said?))
<Simon> No.
<Wenndolyne> ((OK my bad... I missed the cue on the light))
* SirPoet stirs, his eyes opening weakly at Wenns tuch, blood trail sluggishly from his ears and mouth

* Wenndolyne bends to kiss Poet's forehead
* Simon cries quietly against Wolf's arm, "I knew...I wanted him gone...and it happened."
<SirPoet> me paws at his clasp, and removes the silver broach with the stylized harp and scroll and shoves it into her hand...
<SirPoet> My pledge to you, now go
<LordWolf> Ssssh Simon, tis not your fault, litttle one.
* LordWolf continues to rock him back in forth
* Simon closes his eyes, now knowing his fate...knowing he will soon die himself.
* LordWolf cals again, almost pleeding
<LordWolf> Wenn
* Wenndolyne sobs, looks to the clasp. She slips from beneath Poet and lays his head gently down again.
<Wenndolyne> Your word , Poet
<Wenndolyne> You have given me your solemn word
* LordWolf stummbles and falls more or less into a chair

* LordWolf leaning upon his staff, hurries to Poet's side
<Wenndolyne> I cannot see it
* SirPoet chuckles at the Wolf's approach...
<SirPoet> so you have come to collect me at last, my friend?
* Simon looks over Wenn's shoulder as she takes him away...becoming frustrated at her speaking.
* LordWolf pauses, puzzled by his words
* SirPoet coughs more blood
* Wenndolyne cannot resist, she turns, with Simon in the hall and watches the two from that distance
<SirPoet> A merry chase I have lead thee have I not?
<LordWolf> You are hurt my friend and know not what you say. Please relax
* Wenndolyne hugs Simon close, needing his comfort more than he ever needed hers
* LordWolf kneels next to poet
* Simon is cold...uncomforting...
<SirPoet> Aye, I am dying and you shall claim me at last.
<SirPoet> it was a good Dance was it not?
* LordWolf tries to looks poet over, searching for wounds to bind
* Wenndolyne slowly drifts to her knees in the hallway, into a pool of white brocade, holding Simon, crying aloud, rocking
* SirPoet pushes his hands away roughly
<SirPoet> Not yet my love....the music has yet to cease within me....
<Simon> **a single tear rolls down Simon's face, he know what is happening...he knew before it happened.**
* LordWolf looks puzzled and once more tries to help him
* SirPoet looks to Wolf, his eyes clearing for a moment from a fog
* Wenndolyne wails aloud at his words... releases her grasp on Simon.. too weak with sorrow to hold him
<SirPoet> Wolf!
* LordWolf looks up
<SirPoet> Simon?
<SirPoet> Is
* Simon stands
<SirPoet> is he alright?
<Simon> ...then runs across the hall toward the men.
<LordWolf> Aye, he is well, though me thinks in shock at the moment
<SirPoet> help me sit up
* Wenndolyne scrambles weakly to her feet but has no will to chase the boy
* Simon looks down at Poet, breathless, then up at Wolf.
* Simon is silent
* LordWolf helps him sit up and hears the sound of approaching feet he turns and sees Simon
<LordWolf> Lad you should not be here...
<Simon> Poet? <softly>
* SirPoet looks up to Simon
* Wenndolyne stops to soak a cloth in cold water from the pitcher and crosses to Poet
<SirPoet> Simon...please...
<SirPoet> forgive me
* Simon doesn't hear Wolf...only sees Poet...and all that blood.
* LordWolf looks to Wenn and shakes his head a if to say no
<SirPoet> please
* Simon moves to Poet and kneels next to him, "I do! Don't die...!"
* Wenndolyne looks to Wolf, a glare, a question
* SirPoet feebly reaches out and takes Simons hand in his
* LordWolf sighs sadly, new tears sliping down his face, and looks away form her
<SirPoet> Lad...
* Simon holds Poet's hand, using both of his to hold it up to his face...wet with tears, "Poet."
* SirPoet coughs again
<SirPoet> Simon....
* Wenndolyne makes to reach out and touch Poet, but looks at Wolf again... and thinks better of it
* SirPoet 's hand is cold to the touch, his color is close to that of white and pasty
* Simon begins again to cry...tear flowing down his face.
<Simon> Yes...Poet?
* SirPoet softly whispers to Simon
<SirPoet> I
<SirPoet> forgive you....
<SirPoet> will you do the same
* Wenndolyne watches Simon and Poet through tear filled eyes
<SirPoet> and forgive thyself?
* Simon leans in to hear....his word....not knowing if he could, but nods to the dying man.
* LordWolf watches, caught in the moment, unable to move
<SirPoet> Simon!
<SirPoet> can you hear it?
<SirPoet> hear the music as is slowly fades?
* Simon looks into Poet's now distant eyes. "Yes...I can..."
* LordWolf glances to Wenn and then to Simon
* Wenndolyne watches Poet fade and whispers almost to herself "Can neither of you help him?"
<Simon> I can hear it...Poet.
* LordWolf rises, a determined look upon his face
<LordWolf> Wenn, remove the child
<Simon> I can hear your music.
* Wenndolyne is too distracted
* Simon kisses Poet's cheek
* Simon kisses Poet's hand
* SirPoet 's eyes close slowly as the last breath flees from his body
<LordWolf> Wenn!
* Simon kisses Poet's forehead
* LordWolf shouts
* Wenndolyne is awakened by his tone and looks to him
<Wenndolyne> Yes?
<LordWolf> remove the child
* Simon cries softly.
<Wenndolyne> AYe...
* Simon hugs the now lifeless form
* Wenndolyne mechanically takes Simon's hand and leads him away
<Wenndolyne> Simon... we must go
* Simon keeps an eye on Poet as he is lead away...
* Simon watches Wolf standing over Poet's body.
* Wenndolyne cannot look... could not see him anyway
* LordWolf waits till she has hold of Simon then he reaches down and lifts the now lifeless body of Poet
* Wenndolyne pulls Simon into the library and locks the door behind them
* LordWolf turns and walks toward the distant entrance to his tower with the body
* Simon stares at Wenn
* Wenndolyne leans heavily against the door and slides to the floor, eyes closed, tears flowing
<Simon> I knew...
<Simon> This time...I knew.
* LordWolf slips from sight, heading down a corridor away from the two and is soon lost in the shadows
* Simon looks down saddly.
* Wenndolyne weakly responds, only half aware "Knew what little one?"
*** SirPoet is now known as DeadPoet
<Simon> I knew...that he was gonna die...I knew it all.
<Simon> I made the music for him...he heard it, you know.
<Wenndolyne> What music? -LordWolf- .4**Wolfie Op's Only** Outside, thunder rolls across the heavens
* Wenndolyne is still quite absent until she hears thunder crack and roll outside and opens her eyes to look about
* Simon dries his eyes, knowing his own fate now..."He heard music before he died. I made it for him. I made it when he was hit by the light. I knew."
* Simon stares coldly out the window at the dancing lights.
* Wenndolyne is not listening to Simon. She stands and unlocks the door. -LordWolf- .4**Wolfie Op's Only** lightning crashes from some where above them as if a storm rages within the Great Keeps Tower
* Simon is still standing, motionless and alone -LordWolf- .4**Wolfie Op's Only** the night sky is alive with flashes of power other than the storms
* Wenndolyne flings open the door, and looks in the direction the great hall then looks up
* Simon still does not move. He stands in the library, staring and whispering to himself, "I knew."
* Wenndolyne is crying and shaking her head, whispering “The tower. Wolf has taken Poet to the tower.” -LordWolf- .4**Wolfie Op's Only** the very air becomes charged with an static and magical energy, causing the hairs on the back of their arms to rise
* Simon moves toward the window...watching the lights
-> -LordWolf- ~Only 4 U~ can I get through the wall without you... now that I know where the entrance is? -LordWolf-** Wenndolyne's Eyes Only ** no, not yet
* Simon unlatches the window and open it...allowing the night wind to swirl into his face.
* Wenndolyne holds her hand out to Simon but still looks up as if she could see the tower... though of course, she cannot except within her mind's eye
<Wenndolyne> Simon... Simon come here
* Simon stares out the window...
<Wenndolyne> Simon!
* Wenndolyne turns in the threshold of the library door to see Simon at the window. She can see the odd flashing of the sky beyond the window. With a distracted, frightened voice, she bids Simon to come to her.
<Simon> He's...he's up there now...I can see.
<Simon> He can see mountains and trees...
<Simon> There's lights...
<Wenndolyne> No! We are not ready... I am not ready for Poet's soul to leave this earth
<Wenndolyne> Come here, please
* Wenndolyne is pleading with him to come away from the window
* Simon looks over to see a streak of light stretch from the tower to the sky...
<Simon> It's pretty Wenn..and there's a girl there...
* Wenndolyne takes a few slow paces in the direction of Simon as the window, still looking upward, in prayer as much as anything else...
<Simon> She has blonde hair and green eyes...
* Simon moves even closer to the window.
* Simon smiles, "She smiled at me..."
* Wenndolyne suddenly looks at Simon and comes to stand behind him, following his gaze out to the shattered night sky
* Simon tears still flow down his face as he smiles.
<Wenndolyne> Who?
<Simon> A girl...there. <pointing>
<Wenndolyne> ((ok script please... is this the daughter? can I see her? has she a name?))
<LordWolf> ((yes yes and no))
<Wenndolyne> ((and I know her from email... but does Wenn know of her?))
<LordWolf> ((no though the resemblance is very good))
<Wenndolyne> ((tanks))
* Simon leans out to see the girl on her shining ribbon of light.
* Wenndolyne squints, blinks... "... oh my...."
* Simon points to the top of the tower..."Look...who's that?"
* Wenndolyne sees in her face... in her eyes...
<Simon> It's Wolf! He's..he's...
* LordWolf walks upon the glowing ribbon, meeting the girlchild mid span
* LordWolf pauses as the child bows to him and then stepping forward she gently kisses him on the cheek
* Simon 's eyes fill with tears.
* Wenndolyne swallows hard and steps back a pace to lean against a chair but cannot take her eyes from this scene
<Simon> Who...is that?
<Simon> What...?
* LordWolf smiles a smile filled with love to the child, a fathers love, and softly speks to her though they are too far away for their words to be heard
* Wenndolyne sees the girl with hair and an elveness about her, much as Wolf has described Juliana... and with Wolf's forest emerald eyes
* Simon watches as Wolf moves along the ribbon of light...wondering...confused..
* LordWolf moves his burden to the child, who without a glance, causes the body of Poet to float upon the air
<Simon> * a single tear runs down Simon's face. **
* Wenndolyne 's eyes are wide and mouth agape as both wonder at the miraculous image overtakes her
* LordWolf gently embraces the child and softly kisses her brow much as he did to Simon earlier. The two part and make their way back to their own ends of the ribbon of light. Slowly the ribbon shimmers and upon Wolf reaching the tower, it withdraws and slips back into the rift.
* Wenndolyne drops to the floor even as the ribbon slips away... staring blankly
* Simon moves his head, as if hearing something.
<Simon> Remember.
* Simon turns and runs out of the library, into the great hall
* Wenndolyne sits in a rumbled heap... breathing shallow and very slowly shaking her head
* LordWolf watches from the tower as he closes the rift to that far off distant land of Lyric. Once more sealing it away, along with his daughter and now the body of Sir Poet.
* Simon looks wided eyed around the hall, seeing the broken items around the room, the blood on the floor..."Remember."...and that tune...he hears it even now...as he frantically looks for an escape...Remember. -LordWolf- .4**Wolfie Op's Only** the storm breaks upon the Keep and Rain pours down and in through the opened window
* Wenndolyne feels nothing, hears nothing, sees nothing but the image of that girl, the ribbon, Poet & Wolf... as if frozen -LordWolf-** Wenndolyne's Eyes Only ** did I shock thee?
* Simon runs to door and into the night...hearing the tune...the haunting tune...
-> -LordWolf- ~Only 4 U~ sorry can't hear you. I'm numb :)
<Simon> ((The audience applauds.))
* LordWolf stand alone for a long moment within the tower’s great window and watches the storm then, sighing, he turns and heads for the others.
