((This MUST be changed to come from someone other than Wenn, considering how we have changed her position away from the Guardian thing. Not even sure if we want to include this thread, but for expedience, all I did here was change the tense. Can sort the other issues out later. - Diana 070799))
Wenn returned from Camelot to the Keep and slipped through the great hall to the library, lighting a candle with slow solemn movement. She sat herself at the desk, sighing as she pulled out a slip of parchment and dipped a quill to pen a notice she was loathe to write. Her other hand was clutched around the Ring of Guardianship given her by Lance, which hangs on a fine silver chain about her neck, a symbol of her responsibility.

M'Lords and Ladies, All Citizens and Gentle Folk of Camelot,
Tis with heavy heart and hand I write to thee of an occurrence on evening last.
Whilst many were gathered in the firehall, there was a theft performed with great device and distraction. The stolen item represents the legacy and honor of Sir Lancelot as well as the charge given me and to the Noble Blackhawke to preserve and protect the golden city that is Camelot. As M'Lord Blackhawke lay fighting for his life and it was on my watch that this event occurred, I feel doubly responsible for this outrageous deed.
The mighty sword of Sir Lancelot, the blade of valor, honor and bravery he has wielded countless times on our behalf... has been pilfered. Its whereabouts and those who hold it, mostly unknown. Its place above the hearth in our firehall is woefully barren.
Quietus Dark Wolf, with whom many are all too familiar, appears to have been party to the ruse as well as a fellow making sketches in the hall just before the theft. There was also a man and woman seeming to be fighting between themselves, but looking back, this was surely meant to distract as well, to draw all eyes and attention from the sword above the mantle and he who made away with it. There have been suppositions that a fifth person was involved but I have no information to confirm this.
I ask you all, especially those who graced the firehall on that event, to tell of anything you might have seen or heard that may aid in returning Lance's sword to its rightful place and for helping bring the guilty to their justice.
The theft itself was done with trickery and no injury so there is all hope that the return of the blade will be done without a drop of blood spilt. Please take no action on this chance. In Lance's own words, "Let us remember, 'tis only a sliver of iron". Though we do want this precious item returned, no need for any to lose a more precious life over it. Information, not heroics, is all I call for at this time.
Yours In Service
and Vowed to Justice,
Lady Wenndolyne of Wolf Keep
Guardian of Camelot

Wenn read the notice once more and blotted dry the ink before waking the Chamberlain to see that it was posted in the firehall of Camelot... for all to see, to read, to answer. She sent up a little prayer with the smoke of the candle blown out, asking that the sword be returned and that none be injured in the process, except mayhap the thieving culprits, especially the Dark Wolf.
