Lord Wolf's Keep sits upon an embankment next to a river facing East and the rising sun. The drawbridge actually lowers over the river for entrance. The castle itself is surrounded by an enchanted forest that keeps people out. There is a road to the keep that does allow others to get to there. So long as they stay upon the road, they will be fine. Should they leave the road, the enchantment will confuse them and lead them right back to the road. If they should try to enter the forest from any where other than the road, the enchantment will confuse them and they will wander aimlessly through the woods till they die of hunger and thirst. The Wolf Pendant does protect the bearer from this enchantment.
The keep itself was built by magic for there are no seams to the blocks. It appear as if the keep was carved from the very bedrock of the world. Crossing the drawbridge, you enter the cobbled bailey. Ahead of you are the main gates to the Keep, large oak doors banded in silver, standing four times the height of a man on horse back. The bailey wall that surrounds the keep has a tower on each corner, facing the four points of the compass. One tower for each element, North is Earth, South is Wind, East is Water and West for Fire. The Keep's main structure is three stories tall, rising slightly higher than the twenty foot bailey wall that surrounds it.
Upon entering the Keep, you step into a small antechamber where people wait before entering the Great Hall. Across the room are large double doors slightly smaller than the Main Doors to the keep. The Great Hall is two stories tall with long narrow stained glass windows depicting pictures of anything from battles to forest animals and such. In the center of the hall is a long table that would easily seat two hundred people. Along both walls are coats of armor, shield and various weapons as well as doorways leading to the kitchen and other rooms. Spaced along the walls are large fireplaces used to heat and provide lighting for the hall. Crystal chandeliers, holding a hundred candles each, hang from the ceiling as well.
At the far end of the Great Hall Table sits a chair that dominates the Hall. The chair is carved with the likeness or every animal you can imagine. The back of the chair rises to the height of 7 feet and is topped by the proud head of a great Wolf with his mouth opened and teeth bared as the arms of the chair are the forelegs and paws of the Wolf in mid leap. Other rooms within the keep include an armory, bed chambers, servants hall, a grand library and others that you would find within a normal castle. In the very center of the keep there rises a fifth tower. This tower rises to the height of several hundred feet with windows at the top facing the four points of the compass. There is no entrance to the tower from within the Keep itself. Within this tower is LordWolf's magical workshop and hence it is closed to all except himself and those he wishes to allow entrance.
